Navi Mumbai to Face 24-Hour Water Shutdown on May 14–15

Date:

Navi Mumbai: Residents will experience a 24-hour water cut starting Wednesday, May 14, as the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC)Navi Mumbai to Face 24-Hour Water Shutdown on May 14–15 undertakes critical repair work on the Morbe main water channel. The shutdown is necessary due to persistent leakages detected near the Agroli Bridge and below the Chikhale village bridge, prompting the civic body to begin the second phase of pipeline replacement.

The water supply from the Bhokarpada Water Treatment Plant will be completely halted in Navi Mumbai to Face 24-Hour Water Shutdown on May 14–15. This will affect all major NMMC divisions, including Belapur, Nerul, Vashi, Turbhe, Sanpada, Koparkhairane, Ghansoli, and Airoli. During this period, there will be no water supply on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, while residents can expect low pressure and an insufficient supply on Thursday evening.

Additionally, water supply to Kharghar and Kamothe, areas under CIDCO’s jurisdiction, will also be suspended for the same duration. Direct tap connections on the main channel within the NMMC area will remain non-operational throughout the 24-hour window.

NMMC has urged citizens to make necessary arrangements in advance and to use water responsibly until normal supply resumes. It also appealed for public cooperation to carry out the repairs efficiently and without disruption.
