Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation How to Apply Online for Meat Sale License in Navi Mumbai – NMMC Issues Guidelines has introduced an online facility for individuals and businesses seeking licenses to sell meat within the city. This move comes in accordance with Section 458 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, 1949, and the by-laws governing slaughterhouse regulations.

As per the latest government resolution issued by the Revenue and Forest Department on April 23, 2025 (Ref. No. Sankirna-2025/Pr. No. 19/M-6), it is now mandatory for all commercial establishments to present a valid ‘Building Completion Certificate’ or ‘Occupancy Certificate’ before being granted a business license. This directive aims to curb unauthorized constructions and ensure lawful commercial operations within city limits.

How to Apply Online for Meat Sale License in Navi Mumbai – NMMC Issues Guidelines has appealed to all meat vendors to submit their applications online through the official website www.nmmc.gov.in. Applicants must navigate to the ‘Citizen Services’ section, select the Health Department tab, and complete the application process with the necessary documents, including the occupancy or completion certificate.

The Corporation has also warned unauthorized meat vendors sternly, urging them to immediately cease operations or face legal action.

Municipal officials stated that this initiative is part of a broader effort to regulate the meat trade, ensure public health standards, and enforce urban development laws more strictly across Navi Mumbai.
