In a bid to facilitate the launch of a composite girder for a new road overbridge at an existing level crossing, Western Railway will impose block restrictions on two sections early this week.
The block between Vapi and Udvada will take place on Monday, while the block between Bhilad and Sanjan will be on Tuesday. The block will be effective from 11:10 AM to 12:40 PM on both days, impacting both up and down lines for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Several trains under Western Railway will experience schedule adjustments due to these restrictions. According to Vineet Abhishek, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, on February 24 and 25, several train timings have been altered. The 20907 Dadar-Bhuj Sayajinagari Express will depart with a delay of 1 hour, while the 19015 Dadar-Porbandar Saurashtra Express will have its schedule regulated by 40 minutes on February 24 and 30 minutes on February 25. Additionally, the 09055 Bandra Terminus-Udhna Special will be regulated by 25 minutes on February 24 and 20 minutes on February 25.
Other Trains to Be Regulated
Additionally, other trains affected include the 20908 Bhuj-Dadar Sayajinagari Express, which will see a delay of 1 hour and 20 minutes, the 12926 Amritsar-Mumbai Central West Express by 1 hour, the 22954 Gujarat Superfast Express from Ahmedabad to Mumbai Central by 30 minutes, and the 19028 Express from Jammu Tawi to Bandra Terminus, which will be regulated by 40 minutes on February 25. Furthermore, the 09154 (69154) Memu Special, operating between Valsad and Umargam Road, is expected to depart with a 30-minute delay on both days.
The adjustments aim to enhance train speeds in the future once the level crossing gate is closed, as stated by Vineet Abhishek.
