New Delhi : The Ministry of Health (Mohfw) had issued a clarification stating the letter dated June 5th and issued by Indian Nursing Council and widely circulating in the social media is “Fake”. The alleged letter circulating in social media is that of the Indian Nursing Council (INC) having subject as “To consider B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) Nursing candidates as nursing officers and to consider them as equal to MBBS and to consider them as junior doctors.” The letter bears the signature of Lt Col (Dr) Sarvjeet Kaur, Secretary of the Indian Nursing Council.
Subsequently the Mohfw has twitted “ This document is seen to be circulating on some social media platforms. This is a FAKE document. Please do not share it further.” The Indian Nursing Council on the other hand as issued clarification with the heading as “ Urgent and Immediate General Notice” on June 8th which states that the letter dated June 5th is FAKE AND FABRICATED document with fake signatures. The letter further says that the Council is contemplating to take steps to identify the persons involved in circulating the false news and prosecuting them.
