The Central Railway, Mumbai Division, will conduct a Mega Block on its suburban sections for engineering and maintenance work on February 16, 2025. The UP and DN slow lines between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai and Vidyavihar will be affected from 10:55 AM to 3:35 PM.
Down slow services departing from CSMT Mumbai between 10:48 AM and 3:32 PM will be diverted onto the down fast line between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar, halting at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla stations before rejoining the down slow line at Vidyavihar. UP slow services departing from Ghatkopar between 10:19 AM and 3:29 PM will be diverted onto the UP fast line between Vidyavihar and CSMT Mumbai, halting at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla.
Harbour Lines
The UP and DN Harbour Lines between Kurla and Vashi will be affected from 11:10 AM to 4:10 PM. Down Harbour line services to Panvel, Belapur, and Vashi departing from CSMT Mumbai between 10:34 AM and 3:36 PM, as well as UP Harbour line services towards CSMT Mumbai from Panvel, Belapur, and Vashi between 10:16 AM and 3:47 PM, will remain canceled.
Special suburban trains will operate between CSMT Mumbai and Kurla, as well as between Panvel and Vashi, during the block period. Harbour line passengers can travel via Thane-Vashi/Nerul between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
These maintenance Mega Blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. The Railway Administration requests passengers to bear with the inconvenience caused.
Western Railway
A five-hour jumbo block will be operated on the up and down fast lines between Borivali and Goregaon stations on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM for track, signalling, and overhead equipment maintenance.
During this period, all fast trains will be diverted to slow tracks between Borivali and Goregaon. Additionally, some suburban train services will be cancelled, while Andheri-Borivali local trains on the Harbour Line will be operated only up to Goregaon station.
Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and expect possible delays due to the block. Mumbai suburban railway authorities have urged passengers to check train schedules in advance to avoid inconvenience.
