Traffic Restrictions on Uran Phata Due to Road Work from March 1 to April 30

Navi Mumbai– The Navi Mumbai Traffic Control Department has announced traffic restrictions on the Panvel-Sion Highway at Uran Phata due to road-concreting work on the Mumbai lane. The work, undertaken by M/s J.N. Mhatre, will be carried out from March 1 to April 30, 2025, to improve road conditions.

To prevent traffic congestion and inconvenience to commuters, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Tirupati Kakade, has issued an official notification restricting vehicle movement at specific points.

Traffic Restrictions:

  • Vehicles coming from the Pune-Mumbai Highway will not be allowed to take a right turn under Uran Phata Bridge.
  • Vehicles coming via the Apollo Hospital and JNPT Route are prohibited from using the MIDC route via Uran Phata Bridge.

Alternative Routes for Commuters:

  1. Uran Phata Bridge → LP Bridge → MIDC
  2. Uran Phata Bridge → LP Bridge → Turbhe Bridge → Savita Chemical Bridge

The restrictions will be in effect from 00:01 AM on March 1 to 11:59 PM on April 30, 2025. However, emergency vehicles, including police, fire brigades, ambulances, and government service vehicles, are exempt from these restrictions.

The traffic department has urged commuters to plan their routes accordingly and cooperate during this period to ensure smooth traffic flow.
