Traffic Advisory: Traffic Diversion as CIDCO Begins Kharghar-Turbhe Link Road Work

Date:

Navi Mumbai, February 25, 2025 – The Turbhe Traffic Division has announced major traffic diversions due to the Kharghar-Turbhe Link Road construction, which will commence soon under the supervision of the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). The project involves road excavation from Juinagar Railway Station to Kharghar Gurudwara via Turbhe MIDC (IOCL).

The first phase of construction will focus on the Sion-Panvel Highway to the Turbhe MIDC IOCL Gate, leading to a complete closure of this stretch for regular vehicular traffic. The closure aims to facilitate smooth and uninterrupted project work, with only emergency and essential service vehicles such as police, fire brigades, ambulances, and government vehicles allowed access.

Alternative Routes for Motorists:

  1. Vehicles from Turbhe MIDC must use internal roads via Punyanagari and Uran Phata to reach their destination.
  2. Traffic from the Hydrilia Company area can proceed via LP Bridge Service Road.
  3. Vehicles heading to IOCL must enter via Turbhe MIDC and exit using the same route.

The restrictions will be effective from February 25, 2025, until October 31, 2026. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Tirupati Kakade, has urged citizens to cooperate and adhere to the traffic diversions to ensure the smooth execution of the infrastructure project.

For real-time updates and further details, commuters can check with the Navi Mumbai Traffic Police or follow official notifications.
