This year, more than 30 lakh SSC and HSC students across Maharashtra will have the option to access their board exam marksheets through the government’s cloud-based DigiLocker platform.
While the HSC (Class 12) results have already been announced last week, SSC (Class 10) results are expected soon. Students who have registered for the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) – a national ID system for students, will be able to retrieve their marksheets digitally via DigiLocker.
Despite the digital availability, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education confirmed that physical copies of the marksheets will still be distributed through schools and colleges.
Board chairman Sharad Gosavi stated, “Maharashtra is the first state in India to offer board marksheets via DigiLocker. The major benefit is secure and instant access from anywhere, which simplifies the process of verification for college admissions and other academic needs.”
What is Digilocker App?
