Panvel: To protect students’ educational rights, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has identified seven unauthorised primary schools operating without government approval, five of which are in Taloja. The civic body has vowed strict action against these institutions.
Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Mangesh Chitale has urged parents to avoid enrolling their children in these unrecognized schools, cautioning that students currently studying there will be transferred to approved institutions.
To curb new enrollments, the PMC has published the list of unauthorized schools ahead of the upcoming academic year. Deputy Commissioner Prasenjit Karlekar reinforced the directive, advising parents to verify school recognition before admission. He also assured that affected students would be relocated to nearby approved schools.
Education Officer Ramesh Chavan added that any additional unauthorised schools discovered in the future would be publicly named, with appropriate action taken.
Through this initiative, the PMC aims to uphold the integrity of the education system and ensure students receive quality, government-approved schooling.
