Panvel Municipal Corporation to Host Grand “Hirkani Mahotsav” for Women’s Day

Panvel, March 4: In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) is organizing a grand festival, “Hirkani Mahotsav – Honoring Women,” on March 7, Friday. The event, aimed at empowering and recognizing women, will take place at Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Auditorium.

The festival will be attended by prominent dignitaries, including State Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare, Minister of State for Urban Development Madhuri Misal, MLA Dr. Manisha Kayande, MLA Prashant Thakur, and MLA Vikrant Patil. A special attraction of the event will be the presence of renowned actress Bhargavi Chirmule, who will conduct a fitness session for women.

Highlights of the Event:

March 7-9: 30 stalls set up by women’s self-help groups.
March 7, 10:00 AM: Inauguration of self-help group stalls and a health camp.
Self-Defense Training: A demonstration by national award winner Tapaswi Gondhali and her team.
Cyber Safety Awareness: A session by Navi Mumbai Cyber Cell on fraud prevention.
Fitness & Interaction: Actress Bhargavi Chirmule will provide fitness guidance and participate in a live interview.
“Khel Paithanicha – Awaaz Panvelcha” (Win a Paithani Saree Competition): Three winners will receive a Paithani saree.
Cultural Programs: Music, dance, and folk performances featuring Maharashtra’s rich heritage.

Special Attractions:

Gift Lottery: Exciting prizes for all participating women.
Awareness Campaigns: Voting awareness, “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (Save and Educate the Girl Child), and a beautiful floral selfie point.

Panvel Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Mangesh Chitale has invited all women within PMC limits to participate in this grand celebration.
