Panvel: All hoardings, flex banners, and advertisements within the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) limits must now feature a QR code. Civic Chief Mangesh Chitale, during a review meeting on various development projects, directed officials to take immediate action against any hoardings, banners, or advertisements lacking a QR code. He instructed that notices be issued and legal action be taken against violators.
Over the past few months, the civic administration has removed a significant number of illegal hoardings across the city.
Chitale also urged the concerned departments to expedite the completion of ongoing development projects. During the meeting, the construction department provided updates on current projects within municipal limits. Discussions were held on upcoming initiatives, including improvements to all crematoriums, the construction and renovation of schools at various locations, and the development of Hirkani Hospital.
The health department was tasked with identifying suitable locations for new public toilets across the city. Additionally, discussions covered the progress of the fire department, town planning, disability welfare, water supply, and electricity departments.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners Kailas Gawde, Dr. Vaibhav Vidhate, and other civic officials.
