The Department of Higher and Technical Education has developed a centralised dashboard to consolidate all information about universities and colleges across the state. This dashboard, which offers complete details about all public universities and colleges at the click of a button, was launched by Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil on Thursday.
This dashboard will provide students and parents with comprehensive information in one place — including admission processes, examination results, scholarship schemes, hostel facilities, fee structures, college affiliations, academic resources, and libraries.
Currently, the dashboard features data from 26 public universities and the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. In the coming months, all public and private universities in the state will be integrated into this system.

A Boon for Students and Parents
According to education experts, this dashboard will strengthen the monitoring of government schemes and educational systems. It will also offer students and parents reliable, updated, and authentic information in an easy-to-understand format. As a result, tasks such as selecting colleges, understanding courses, and applying for scholarships will become significantly easier.
Dashboard to Aid Policy Making
Minister Patil further emphasized that the data available on the dashboard will also assist in formulating educational policies and schemes. We plan to use artificial intelligence to analyse the data collected through the dashboard, which will support the development of evidence-based policies and help us achieve the goal of delivering quality education to all, he added.
