NMMC Announces 50% Waiver on Late Fees for Outstanding Water Bills

Date:

Navi Mumbai—To provide major relief for residents and institutions with overdue water bills, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has launched a special amnesty scheme. Under this initiative, defaulters will receive a 50% waiver on late fees and penalties, helping them settle their outstanding dues at a reduced cost. The scheme will be available from March 21 to March 31, 2025.

Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde announced that the scheme aims to facilitate water bill recovery while easing consumers’ financial burden. The benefit applies to all categories of water users across Navi Mumbai, including Gram Panchayats along the Morbe Dam-Kalamboli water pipeline.

NMMC has urged citizens to take advantage of this limited-time relief and clear their outstanding water bills by March 31, 2025, to avoid further penalties or legal action.
