Panvel: In a major step towards enhancing citizen services and e-governance, the Panvel Municipal Corporation launched the ‘Panvel Connect’ mobile application today. Designed to be a one-stop digital platform for residents, the app allows citizens to access a variety of municipal services online, including bill payments, lodging complaints, and receiving emergency assistance.
The launch was held at Loknete D.B. Patil School, where several other civic initiatives were also inaugurated by local dignitaries. These included the rollout of 16 state-of-the-art sanitation vehicles, unveiling of a digital information board, inauguration of four Maha-E Seva Guarantee Centers, and the opening of a grand job fair.

MLA Prashant Thakur praised the Panvel Municipal Corporation and Commissioner Mangesh Chitale for their commitment to transparent, citizen-centric, and efficient administration. “The Panvel Connect app simplifies access to essential services and strengthens communication between citizens and the Corporation,” he said.
Commissioner and Administrator Mangesh Chitale emphasized that the corporation is proactively implementing the Maharashtra government’s Service Guarantee Act and promoting ease of doing business through digital platforms. “With this app and other initiatives, we aim to make governance more accessible, responsive, and transparent,” he stated.
The job fair, organized with the support of Nishken Foundation, attracted hundreds of aspirants. Commissioner Chitale encouraged attendees to appear for interviews with confidence and seize employment opportunities.
Former House Leader Paresh Thakur, Opposition Leader Pritam Mhatre, Shiv Sena Raigad District Chief Ramdas Shewale, BJP District Chief Avinash Koli, and several senior officials including Additional Commissioner Ganesh Shete and Deputy Commissioners Kailas Gawade and Dr. Vaibhav Vidhate were present.
The event also marked the inauguration of mobile veterinary clinics for animal care and the introduction of an e-office system to further enhance administrative efficiency. With these initiatives, the Panvel Municipal Corporation reinforces its goal of becoming a digitally empowered, citizen-friendly urban body.
