Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) will conduct its monthly E-Waste Collection Drive on Sunday, May 18, 2025, offering residents a convenient way to safely dispose of unused electronic items right from their doorstep.
As part of its commitment to sustainable waste management, NMMC, under the leadership of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, has been running this initiative in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Smart City Navi Mumbai and Threco Company.
Citizens can register through a QR code available on NMMC’s official social media pages or by filling out the form via this link: Google Form for Registration
After registration, a dedicated vehicle will collect the electronic waste directly from registered households, housing societies, or offices.
What You Can Dispose Of:
Old mobile phones and chargers, laptops and computers, batteries and cables, and any non-functioning or unused electronic appliances
The drive takes place every third Sunday of the month, aiming to reduce the harmful impact of e-waste on the environment by ensuring it is processed through authorized recycling channels.
“This initiative gives citizens a simple yet impactful way to support environmental sustainability,” said an NMMC spokesperson. “We encourage every Navi Mumbaikar to contribute to a cleaner and greener city.”
Who Should Participate?
Individual citizens, Housing societies, Commercial and industrial establishments and Educational and healthcare institutions
NMMC has appealed to all residents and organizations to actively support the campaign and make responsible e-waste disposal a regular practice.
