In a major step towards combating cybercrimes and raising awareness about financial crimes and issues related to women’s safety, the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate has launched an official YouTube channel, “Cyber Safe Navi Mumbai Official.”
This initiative aims to educate the public on preventing various crimes, providing valuable information through digital platforms.
The Navi Mumbai Police have expanded their digital presence with accounts on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and X, where they will regularly share crime prevention tips and important updates.
Additionally, a Helpline Number, 8828-112-112, has been set up to assist citizens with guidance on cybercrimes and other legal matters, ensuring they remain vigilant and informed.
Navi Mumbai Police is the first in Maharashtra to launch official YouTube and WhatsApp channels as part of their digital outreach. Through these platforms, the police will provide insights on various crime prevention methods, alongside expert discussions during weekly live sessions. These discussions will give citizens a chance to interact with specialists and deepen their understanding of crime prevention strategies.
Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe encouraged residents to follow these platforms, share the information, and actively participate in the initiative. He emphasized the importance of community involvement in maintaining safety and security.
The launch of these digital tools marks a crucial step in enhancing public engagement, empowering citizens, and fostering a safer environment in Navi Mumbai.
