Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Deploys Special Teams for Citizen Feedback in Swachh Survekshan

Date:

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has consistently improved its cleanliness rankings and, due to its outstanding performance, has been included among three cities in India under the newly introduced “Super Swachh League” category of the Swachh Bharat Mission.

With the commencement of Swachh Survekshan 2024, an important aspect of the survey is citizen feedback. Citizens are encouraged to share their views on the city’s cleanliness by visiting the official portal https://sbmurban.org/feedback. Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde has urged every citizen to participate by answering ten key questions in the survey to help Navi Mumbai achieve the highest national ranking. To facilitate this, the NMMC has made the feedback portal link and QR codes easily accessible through various means.

The civic body has displayed QR codes on billboards, standees, and in movie theaters through video clips. Audio announcements are being made at theaters, traffic signals, and public places, urging citizens to submit their feedback. Schools and colleges are also playing a role in spreading awareness, as students are encouraged to involve their parents and peers in the survey. Special teams have been deployed to visit housing societies and assist residents in submitting their responses. Considering weekends as an opportunity to reach more people, these teams are actively working at malls, Wonders Park, Rock Garden, Jewel of Navi Mumbai, and other crowded places to motivate citizens to take part in the initiative.

Citizen feedback is a crucial factor in improving Navi Mumbai’s ranking, and the NMMC is receiving excellent cooperation from responsible citizens. However, more participation is needed to secure the city’s position among the cleanest urban areas in the country. Every resident is encouraged to take this as a social responsibility and provide their feedback by answering ten simple questions on the survey portal or via the QR code. Additionally, they are urged to motivate family members, friends, and colleagues to participate.

Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde has also appealed to citizens to fully cooperate with NMMC representatives who are reaching out to them for feedback collection. Their response can make a significant difference in enhancing Navi Mumbai’s national cleanliness ranking.
