Date:

Mumbai has unveiled its first elevated nature trail, offering visitors a unique walk among the treetops while preserving the city’s green cover. Located at Malabar Hill, this eco-friendly walkway provides a peaceful retreat in the heart of South Mumbai. To maintain an immersive experience, only 200 visitors will be allowed per time slot.

A Sustainable Step Forward

Developed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the Nature Elevated Trail is designed to raise awareness about environmental conservation while offering citizens a scenic and sustainable recreational space. Inspired by Singapore’s Tree Top Walk, the project is expected to attract visitors from across India and abroad.

Entry & Booking Details

Open daily from 5 AM to 9 PM

Online booking required (reservations open 15 minutes before each slot)

Ticket prices: ₹25 for Indian citizens, ₹100 for foreign tourists

Limited to 200 visitors per slot to prevent overcrowding

Barcode-based entry and exit for seamless access

Security & Biodiversity Conservation

To ensure a safe and well-maintained environment, BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani has directed officials to implement strict security measures and cleanliness protocols. A dedicated control center will monitor visitor movement and respond to emergencies.

The trail offers a rare opportunity to explore Mumbai’s biodiversity, featuring over 100 plant species, native birds, and reptiles. With this initiative, the BMC encourages citizens to embrace nature and protect the city’s ecological heritage. Book your visit now: https://naturetrail.mcgm.gov.in/
