Mumbai Water Supply to be Disrupted for 22 Hours Due to Pipeline Repairs

Residents in South and North Mumbai should prepare for a major water supply disruption from 10 PM on 28 November to 8 PM on 29 November as crucial repairs are carried out on the Tansa main pipeline at Lower Parel. The maintenance work will temporarily halt water supply in several areas across the city leaving citizens to rely on stored water.

Details of the Disruption:

The repairs will be conducted by the Water Engineers Department at Gavde Chowk, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel. During the 22-hour maintenance period, water supply will be completely or partially disrupted in various neighborhoods.

Areas to Be Completely Affected:

  • South Zone: Lower Parel – Kari Road, Sakharam Bala Pawar Marg, Mahadev Palav Marg, Na. M. Joshi Marg, BDD Chawl (Supply hours: 4:30 AM to 7:45 AM) Prabhadevi – P. Balu Marg, Hatiskar Marg, Adarsh Nagar, Janta Vasahat, Appasaheb Marathe Marg, Veer Savarkar Marg, Na. M. Joshi Marg, Senapati Bapat Marg, Pandurang Budhkar Marg, Ganpatrao Kadam Marg, Lower Parel Station (Supply hours: 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM)
  • North Zone: Senapati Bapat Marg, Veer Savarkar Marg, Gokhale Marg, Kakasahab Gadgil Marg, Sayani Marg, Bhavani Shankar Marg (Supply hours: 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM)

Senapati Bapat Marg, L. J. Marg, Veer Savarkar Marg, Gokhale Marg, Arunkumar Vaidya Marg (Supply hours: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM)

Advisory for Residents

Citizens are advised to:

  1. Store sufficient water in advance to last through the maintenance period.
  2. Use water judiciously and avoid wastage.
