The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) Mumbai board revealed the winners of 2,030 flats under the MHADA Lottery 2024 on October 8. Out of 1,13,811 applicants, successful candidates were selected through a computerized lottery system.
“All winners have been announced. They will now receive provisional offer letters (POLs) from MHADA’s Mumbai board, after which they can proceed with the payment,” confirmed a source familiar with the process.
The announcement took place at the Yashwantrao Chavan Centre in Mumbai, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, in attendance.
MHADA emphasized that the lottery was conducted through the IHLMS 2.0 (Integrated Housing Lottery Management System), a fully automated and transparent process. “The new system has attracted significant participation from various income groups, underscoring the high demand for affordable housing in Mumbai,” MHADA said in a statement.
The online registration for the computerized lottery began on August 9. The flats are located in several prominent housing projects across Mumbai, including Goregaon West, Antop Hill-Wadala, Kopri Powai, Kannamwar Nagar-Vikhroli, Shivdham Complex-Malad, Dadar, and Lower Parel.
The launch of the registration process, marked by a ‘Go Live’ ceremony, was led by MHADA’s Vice-President and Chief Executive Officer, Sanjeev Jaiswal.
