Man Performs Self-Surgery After Watching YouTube, Nearly Loses His Life

Date:

They say, desperate times call for desperate measures. A shocking incident has happened in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, where a young man performed surgery on himself after watching YouTube tutorials. He even stitched himself up with 11 stitches. However, when his condition worsened, he cried out in pain, prompting his family to rush him to the district hospital for treatment.

According to reports, Raja Babu (32), a resident of Sunrakh in Vrindavan, had been suffering from persistent stomach pain for several days. Despite multiple visits to doctors, he found no relief. He had undergone an appendix surgery 18 years ago but continued to experience recurrent stomach pain. Frustrated with his condition, he decided to perform the surgery himself at home—an extreme decision that nearly cost him his life.

Raja Babu meticulously prepared for the procedure. He purchased surgical blades, stitching materials, and medicines from a medical store. To numb himself, he administered an injection before starting the surgery in his room on Wednesday morning. After making an incision, he stitched himself up with 11 stitches. However, as the effect of the injection wore off, the unbearable pain made him scream in agony.
