Navi Mumbai: Commuters using the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Shivdi-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu (MTHL) should brace for traffic restrictions on Sunday, February 16, 2025, as the Navi Mumbai Traffic Police enforce vehicle curbs for a marathon event. To ensure a smooth run and prevent congestion, all vehicles—except those essential for the marathon and emergency services—will be prohibited on Atal Setu from 11:00 PM on February 15 to 1:00 PM on February 16.
The marathon will take place from 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM, covering the route from Shivdi, Mumbai, to Chirle, Navi Mumbai. Commuters are advised to plan alternate routes in advance to avoid inconvenience.

Restricted Routes:
- Atal Setu (Shivdi-Nhava Sheva Sea Link) – No entry for vehicles during the event.
- Ramps affected in Nhava Sheva Traffic Division:
- Mumbai to Shivajinagar, Ulwe (Descent)
- Shivajinagar, Ulwe to Mumbai (Ascent)
- Ramps affected in Uran Traffic Division:
- Mumbai to Pune (Descent)
- Pune to Mumbai (Ascent)
- Nhava Sheva to Mumbai (Ascent)
- Mumbai to Nhava Sheva (Descent)
Alternative Routes:
- Vehicles from Uran can take Gavan Phata → Uran Phata → Vashi to reach their destination.
- Vehicles from Pune via Atal Setu can use Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway → Belapur → Vashi.
- Vehicles from Old Mumbai-Pune Highway, Konkan, and Panvel should proceed via Gavan Phata → Uran Phata → Vashi.
- Light vehicles from JNPT should take Gavan Phata → Ulwe-Amra Road → Vashi Creek Bridge.
However, police vehicles, ambulances, fire brigades, and other emergency service vehicles will be allowed on the restricted routes. Police have urged commuters to plan their travel accordingly and use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
