Major Traffic Disruptions in Rabale as Segment Launching Work Begins on Airoli Bridge

Date:

Navi Mumbai: In order to facilitate the major infrastructure development work, the Navi Mumbai Police have announced traffic restrictions in the Rabale area for a key construction project on the Mulund-Airoli Creek Bridge. The segment launching work will take place near the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Garden in front of Sector 4, Airoli Post Office, starting May 3, 2025, until June 1, 2025.

During this period, all types of vehicles will be prohibited from using the road from Jama Masjid, Sector 17, to Shriram Vidyalaya. The restriction will be in effect round-the-clock, starting at 12:01 AM on May 3, 2025, and continuing until 11:59 PM on June 1, 2025. This decision has been taken to ensure the smooth and safe execution of the project.

The traffic restrictions apply to all vehicles, except those belonging to J Kumar Infra Projects Limited, the company carrying out the work. To minimize inconvenience, alternative routes have been provided:

  1. For vehicles traveling from Patni Road towards Sector 3: Drivers should take a right turn at Jama Masjid and proceed via the road in front of Sector 17 Datta Mandir.
  2. For vehicles coming from Bharat Bijli towards Shriram Vidyalaya: Drivers are advised to take a left turn and use the Airoli Sector 5 road.

Motorists are advised to follow the updated traffic guidelines and use the alternative routes to avoid delays. The road closures are part of efforts to improve the city’s infrastructure for better connectivity in the future.
