To manage the expected crowds and ensure safe travel during election campaign events, Thane Police have announced a series of traffic restrictions and alternate routes for November 13, 2024 in Thane and Dombivli. These measures are intended to prevent congestion as the Maharashtra Assembly election campaigns intensify.

Here’s a summary of the key routes affected and the suggested detours:
Thane Traffic Diversions
- Clock Tower to Kalwa Naka: All vehicles will be restricted from entering Kalwa Naka from Clock Tower.
- Alternate Route: Vehicles can reroute via Clock Tower, Kalwa High School and Budhaji Nagar.
- Parshiv Circle to Kalwa Naka (Heavy Vehicles): Six-wheeled and heavy vehicles are restricted from entering Kalwa Naka from Parshiv Circle.
- Alternate Route: Redirect through Parshiv Circle, Gammon Junction and Kharegaon Toll Naka.
- Navi Mumbai Belapur Road (Heavy Vehicles): Heavy vehicles from Navi Mumbai toward Kalwa Shivaji Chowk will be stopped at Patni.
- Alternate Route: Divert through Mulund-Airoli-Anand Nagar.
- Kaveri Setu to Kalwa Naka (Light Vehicles): Light vehicles, including three- and four-wheelers, will be restricted from Kaveri Setu to Kalwa Naka.
- Alternate Route: Follow Kaveri Setu, Bali Tower, Railway Station Road and Budhaji Chowk.
The above restrictions will be active from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM on November 13. Emergency services, including police, fire brigades, ambulances and election vehicles will be exempt from these restrictions.
Dombivli Traffic Regulations
In Dombivli, traffic diversions will support the Shiv Sena Mahayuti’s rally in the Kalyan Gramin constituency from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
- Nandivali Chowk to Swami Samarth Math: Vehicles toward Swami Samarth Math will be restricted at Nandivali Chowk.
- Alternate Route: Use Nandivali Road through Salmaan Caterers and Vidyasagar English School.
- Swami Samarth Math to Nandivali Chowk: Vehicles traveling from Swami Samarth Math toward Nandivali Chowk will be diverted.
- Alternate Route: Redirect via Nanu Park Building, Vidyasagar English School and Nandivali Road.
These Dombivli restrictions will apply from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on November 13. Emergency vehicles are also exempt from these rules.
