Actress Rani Mukerji, last year opened up about her miscarriage and said she tried for a second baby for almost seven years. She recalled it was the traumatic experience and the struggle that she had to go through.

Rani Mukerji initially discussed her miscarriage during the 2023 Indian Film Festival in Melbourne. In 2020, the actress revealed that she was expecting her second child, however she lost the child five months into the pregnancy. I tried for my second child when she was one or one and a half years old, and after a lot of trying, I eventually became pregnant, but then I lost the baby. She added, It happened during pandemic and it was obviously a very, very testing time for me. And additionally, even though I look young, I’m not really young which may have contributed to my loss.

“I’m going to turn 46, and that’s not an age where I can have a baby,” Rani stated in an interview with Galata India. It truly hurts me that I can’t give any sibling to my daughter. However, we must constantly be thankful for what we already have. For me, Adira is my miracle baby and now she is eight year old, and I’m really happy. I’m working on that, and I’m telling myself that yes, Adira is enough.”

Rani married Aditya Chopra in a private wedding in 2014, and on December 9, 2015, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Adira.
