Government Assures No Shortage of Essential Items, Warns Against Hoarding

Date:

A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with secretaries of various ministries to ensure coordination among departments and uninterrupted supply of essential commodities, key central ministers reviewed preparedness in their respective sectors on Friday.

Following the Prime Minister’s directive, central ministers held meetings with senior officials from their departments to assess the availability of food supplies, fuel stock, and readiness of hospitals and health centers across the country.

Alongside the central government, several chief ministers also instructed their officials to ensure there is no shortage of essential items and to take strict action against those involved in black marketing.

We have sufficient Food Reserve, said the Union Agriculture Minister

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated, “We have struck terror camps without targeting civilians. Our forces are giving a fitting reply to Pakistan’s misdeeds.” On the domestic front, he assured that the agriculture sector is fully prepared to ensure food security.

“Our food reserves are full. There is sufficient stock of wheat, rice, and other grains,” he said. Chouhan emphasized that while soldiers defend the borders, farmers, scientists, and the Ministries of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Farmers’ Welfare are committed to ensuring the nation’s food needs are met. He also confirmed there is no shortage of fuel in the country.
