Female Police Constable Dies During Ear Surgery

A 28-year-old female police constable, Gauri Subhash Patil, passed away on Thursday night after undergoing an ear operation at a hospital in Lokhandwala, Andheri. According to her family, Gauri was administered anesthesia before the surgery but never regained consciousness. The Amboli Police Station received information about Gauri’s death at 10:45 pm and promptly sent an officer to the hospital to conduct a Panchnama. The body was then sent to Cooper Hospital in Juhu for a post-mortem examination. After the procedure, the body was handed over to Gauri’s brother and father.

Accidental Death Case Registered

The Amboli Police Inspector confirmed that a case of accidental death has been registered under section 193. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Gauri’s death. If any negligence in treatment is found, appropriate action will be taken against those responsible.

Gauri’s Police Service

Gauri joined the police force in 2017 and was currently working in the Local Arms Department of Marol. Her untimely death has sent shockwaves through the police community. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be revealed as more information becomes available.
