MHADA has brought great news for those dreaming of owning a home. The Konkan Board is planning to release a lottery for around 2,000 homes soon. Among these, the highest number 1,173 homes, will be available in the Chitalsar area of Thane.
MHADA aims to release a lottery for 30,000 homes across the state every year, with a new lottery being launched every three to six months by different boards. In the past one and a half years, the Konkan Board has conducted three lotteries, fulfilling the dreams of around 10,000 homebuyers. Now, preparations are underway for another major lottery in 2025.
Homes to Be Allocated Under These Schemes
This time, in addition to the 1,173 homes constructed by MHADA in Chitalsar, houses under the 15% Integrated Housing Scheme and the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme will also be included in the lottery.
MHADA has built seven 22-story buildings in Chitalsar, but issues related to roads and water supply remain unresolved. Due to this, the Thane Municipal Corporation has not yet issued the Occupancy Certificate (OC) for these buildings.
According to sources, once the OC is granted, these homes will be included in the lottery. The announcement of this new MHADA lottery will bring relief to thousands of homebuyers eagerly waiting for affordable housing.
