CIDCO Delays Housing Lottery Draw for “My Preferred CIDCO Home” Scheme

Date:

Homebuyers eagerly awaiting the computerized lottery draw for CIDCO’s “My Preferred CIDCO Home” scheme will have to wait a little longer. Originally scheduled for Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Taloja, the draw has been postponed, with a new date to be announced soon.

According to CIDCO’s Public Relations Department, no reason was provided for the delay.

Launched on October 12, 2024, the scheme aimed to provide 26,000 tenements under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) categories as part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The housing units are located across Navi Mumbai, including Vashi, Bamandongri, Kharkopar, Kharghar, Kharghar East (Taloja), Mansarovar, Khandeshwar, Panvel, and Kalamboli.

A key feature of the initiative was its flexibility, allowing applicants to choose up to 15 tenements, making it one of CIDCO’s most adaptable schemes. It received an overwhelming response from homebuyers.

CIDCO has already finalized the list of valid applicants, confirming 21,399 applications for the 26,000 available homes. Despite multiple deadline extensions for registration and booking payments, the agency fell short of receiving applications matching the total number of homes. The draft list of applicants who paid the booking amount was published on January 3, 2025, with no changes in the final list. The new date for the lottery draw is expected to be announced soon.
