CIDCO Cracks Down on Illegal Bar and Huts in Sanpada

Date:

Sanpada– The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) took stringent action on Wednesday against an illegally constructed bar and unauthorized huts in Sector 5, Sanpada.

The establishment in question, Mayur Bar and Restaurant, a ladies’ bar, had reportedly been operating for several years without proper authorization. It was built on approximately 100 square meters of CIDCO-owned land. The bar’s two-story structure also included rooms on the upper floor meant for customers, raising further concerns among residents.

Following repeated complaints from locals about the bar’s late-night operations and violation of norms, CIDCO’s Unauthorized Control Department served a notice to the bar owner. Upon failure to comply, demolition proceedings were initiated.

During the operation, CIDCO officials razed the illegally built structure of the bar. Alongside, they also cleared around 300 square meters of unauthorized huts that had sprung up in the vicinity.

The action was executed under the guidance of CIDCO Chief Vigilance Officer Suresh Mengade, ensuring that public land is not misused and illegal encroachments are effectively dealt with.

Residents have lauded CIDCO’s action, expressing relief over the removal of a long-standing nuisance in their neighborhood.
