Central Railway Update: Special Emergency Blocks on Central and Harbour Lines Between CSMT and Masjid Bandar Stations on January 29 and 30

Central Railway (CR) has scheduled a special emergency block between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Masjid Bandar stations for the installation of girders as part of the Carnac Road over-bridge (ROB) construction, according to an official release. These blocks will be implemented on the Central and Harbour lines on January 29 and 30, from 12:30 am to 3:30 am.

As per the announcement, train services on the Central Line will be halted between Byculla and CSMT on the main line, and between Wadala and CSMT on the Harbour Line. The last DOWN slow local train towards Karjat before the block will depart from CSMT at 12:12 am, while the last UP slow local train heading to CSMT will arrive at 12:10 am. Once the block is lifted, the first DOWN slow local from CSMT will depart at 4:47 am.

On the Harbour Line, the last Panvel-bound local train will leave CSMT at 12:13 am, while the final UP local train will arrive at CSMT at 12:05 am. After the block, train services will resume with the first Panvel-bound local departing from CSMT at 4:52 am.

Additionally, several express trains will be short-terminated at Dadar, including the 12052 Madgaon-CSMT Express (on February 1), 11058 Amritsar-CSMT Express (on January 31), and 22120 Madgaon-CSMT Tejas Express (on February 1, 2025).
