April 6 Traffic Advisory: Navi Mumbai Gears Up for Real Madrid and Barcelona Legends Game

Date:

To ensure smooth traffic flow and heightened security during the much-anticipated football clash between Real Madrid Legends and FC Barcelona Legends, the Navi Mumbai Traffic Department has announced restrictions on the movement and parking of heavy vehicles across the city on April 6, 2025.

As per the official notification, all heavy and oversized goods vehicles will be prohibited from entering, transiting, or parking anywhere within Navi Mumbai limits between 2 PM and midnight on match day. This move comes following a report by the Senior Police Inspector of the Turbhe Traffic Division, warning of possible traffic snarls and safety concerns near Dr. D.Y. Patil Stadium in Nerul, where the event will be hosted.

Exemptions will be granted to vehicles carrying essential goods, emergency and police vehicles, government transport, and those with valid passes issued by the football clubs’ organizing committees.

The legendary face-off is expected to draw massive crowds as football enthusiasts gear up to watch iconic players in action again. Carles Puyol for FC Barcelona and Luís Figo for Real Madrid will lead the lineups, rekindling the fierce El Clásico rivalry in a match packed with nostalgia and excitement.

With thousands expected to descend upon the stadium, traffic management remains a key focus for the authorities. Residents and commuters are urged to plan their travel in advance to avoid disruptions and ensure a hassle-free experience.
