Adani Group will invest Rs. 6,000 crores in healthcare infrastructure in partnership with Mayo Clinic. Under this initiative, the conglomerate will establish two 1,000-bed multi-specialty hospitals and medical colleges in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
This investment is part of the Rs 10,000 crore philanthropic commitment announced by Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani last week during the wedding celebrations of his younger son, Jeet.
In an official statement, Adani Group stated that the Mayo Clinic, the world’s largest integrated non-profit medical group, will provide technical expertise for the project. The statement further mentioned that Adani Group aims to make world-class healthcare and medical education affordable and accessible to people from all sections of society across India.
“The family will donate over Rs 6,000 crore for the construction of the first two integrated healthcare complexes in Ahmedabad and Mumbai,” the Adani Group said.
Gautam Adani recalled, “Two years ago, on my 60th birthday, my family pledged Rs 60,000 crore towards healthcare, education, and skill development.”
He further added, “The development of Adani Health City is the first of many major projects under this contribution, which will play a crucial role in providing affordable, world-class healthcare to every section of Indian society.”
