In a new initiative to promote spiritual tourism, IRCTC – West Zone announces the launch of Shravan Special Spiritual Tours, offering devotees a unique opportunity to embark on a soul-enriching journey to some of India’s most revered Jyotirlingas during the auspicious month of Shravan.
Gaurav Jha, Group General Manager, West Zone (Mumbai), shared that the tours will commence from Mumbai and Pune, covering a thoughtfully curated itinerary of spiritual destinations such as Dwarka-Somnath, Mahakaleshwar–Omkareshwar, and Kashi Vishwanath–Baidyanath. These journeys will offer travellers the opportunity to seek divine blessings and immerse themselves in the sacred atmosphere of these revered shrines.
This initiative is designed to meet the growing demand for spiritual tourism, providing a well-organized, safe, and budget-friendly pilgrimage experience. Each tour aligns with the religious significance of Shravan — a holy month in the Hindu calendar dedicated to Lord Shiva, marked by devotion, fasting, and spiritual observance.
The Jyotirlingas are believed to be self-manifested representations of Lord Shiva and are considered powerful centres of his divine energy. Worshipping at these sacred sites during Shravan is said to help remove planetary doshas and negative karmic influences.
