BMC: Illegal Bungalow Demolished in Madh Over Forged Map

Date:

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday demolished an illegally constructed bungalow in the Madh area, after it was found to have been built using a forged map.

The demolition drive was led by BMC Deputy Commissioner (Zone 4) Bhagyashree Kapse and Assistant Commissioner (P North) Kundan Valvi. The action targeted a bungalow named ‘Preet,’ located in the Erangal village area of Madh, which was found to be built over a 1,500-square-foot plot without proper authorization.

Acting on the discovery of the forged documentation, the civic team carried out the demolition using one poclain machine and two JCB machines. The BMC also ensured that adequate police security was deployed to maintain order during the operation.

Officials said the action reflects BMC’s ongoing commitment to curb illegal constructions in the city and uphold urban planning norms.
