Navi Mumbai: Navi Mumbai is set to witness heavy traffic restrictions on May 3, 2025, as the iconic D.Y. Patil Stadium in Nerul hosts a live concert by music maestro A.R. Rahman.
The Traffic Control Department has issued an advisory announcing road closures and parking bans near the stadium from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM to manage the expected rush and ensure smooth passage for artists and VIPs.
The service road between Bhimashankar Society and L.P. Rickshaw Stand will be off-limits to vehicles, along with routes covering L.P. Signal, D.Y. Patil University Gate, Shivaji Chowk, Shanimandir Arch, D.Y. Patil Hospital Road, and several nearby junctions. Parking restrictions will also apply on the Pune-bound service road of the Sion-Panvel Highway from Hydrelia Company to Uran Phata Bridge Signal.
To avoid delays, commuters are advised to use alternative routes via Uran Phata, L.P. Bridge, Punyanagari Junction, and Shiravane Tunnel.
Emergency vehicles and those with official event passes will be exempt from the restrictions.
Police have appealed to residents and visitors to cooperate and plan their journeys to prevent inconvenience during the high-profile event.
