Heavy Vehicles Banned on April 9 for VVIP Visit in Navi Mumbai, Check Details

Navi Mumbai– In preparation for the visit of a Very Very Important Person (VVIP), the Navi Mumbai Traffic Police have announced a temporary ban on heavy vehicle movement across major routes near the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) on Tuesday, April 9, 2025.

The restriction will be enforced between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM to facilitate safe and unobstructed passage for the dignitary.

As per the official order issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Tirupati Kakade, the following routes will be off-limits to all heavy goods vehicles during the restricted hours:

Panvel to JNPT (NH 4B): From Gavan Phata Bridge to JNPT

JNPT Uran to CBD Belapur (SH 54): From Gavan Phata Bridge to JNPT Uran

Atal Setu to JNPT and vice versa

The measure is part of a larger security arrangement in the Nhava Sheva region, which will witness heightened police presence and route monitoring throughout the VVIP’s visit.

The restriction will not apply to emergency and essential service vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks, police vehicles, and those transporting critical goods.

Officials have urged transport operators, logistics firms, and commuters to cooperate and avoid travel on the affected routes during the notified hours.
