Relief in Sight for NAINA-Affected Property Owners as State Steps In

Date:

Mumbai: After months of uncertainty, relief could soon be on the way for property owners in Panvel’s NAINA-affected areas. In a high-level meeting chaired by State Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, officials from CIDCO and the Registration Department were instructed to draft an urgent policy to restart stalled property registrations.

The meeting was convened following persistent demands by MLA Vikrant Patil, who has been actively pushing for a resolution. With registrations on hold for months, farmers and homeowners have been struggling with legal and financial setbacks. Patil highlighted these concerns during the legislative session, calling for immediate government intervention.

During the discussions, officials explored concrete solutions to resolve the impasse, with CIDCO showing a more receptive stance toward addressing the issue. Patil, who has long championed the cause of NAINA-affected residents, has now urged the administration to act swiftly to formalize a policy that allows registrations to resume.

The meeting ended on a positive note, offering hope for thousands of residents awaiting a resolution.

Among the key attendees were former Konkan MHADA Chairman Balasaheb Patil, CIDCO Additional Managing Director Shantanu Goyal, State Inspector General of Registration Ravindra Binwade, and senior officials from CIDCO and the Stamp Duty Department.
