As per data from the Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamps, Maharashtra, property registrations in Mumbai exceeded 9,200 mark in January 2025.
By the month’s end, it is anticipated that registrations will surpass the 10,000 mark.
In January 2024, Mumbai saw 10,967 property registrations, generating ₹760 crore in revenue, according to official records.
Industry experts note that approximately 80% of the registered properties are residential units, with the remaining 20% comprising commercial and retail spaces.
