Fire Breaks Out at Mumbai’s BKC Metro Station

A fire incident occurred at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) metro station in Mumbai on Friday causing temporary disruption of metro services. The blaze which started at 1:09 PM in the basement approximately 40-50 feet deep affected an area used for wooden storage and furniture.

Thick smoke entered the station premises through Entry/Exit A4 leading to the suspension of passenger services at the station. Commuters were advised to use the Bandra Colony metro station as an alternative during this time.

Firefighting teams swiftly contained the fire ensuring no significant damage to the metro infrastructure or injuries to commuters. Once the situation was brought under control, metro services at BKC station resumed restoring normalcy for passengers.

Efforts are ongoing to investigate the cause of the fire and assess preventive measures to avoid similar incidents in the future. Authorities assured the public that safety remains a top priority for metro operations.
