India’s food culture is incredibly diverse and extensive. Every part of the country offers unique culinary delights that make it stand out globally. Recently, Mumbai has been recognized as one of the top 10 food destinations in the world. Time Out, a well-known guide for food and entertainment, has listed Mumbai as the eighth-best food city worldwide, recommending the classic vada pav as a must-try dish. Mumbai was the only city in India to be listed in the report.
The Time Out report says, “Mumbaikars are rightly proud of their city’s food scene, scoring it the highest for quality among all cities surveyed.” The guide mentions that Mumbai is full of vibrant Flavors, with popular dishes like Manchurian, butter chicken, and vada pav with red and green chutneys.
Other cities in the top ten are Naples in first place, followed by Johannesburg, Lima, Ho Chi Minh City, Beijing, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Portland, Liverpool, Medellín, Seville, Porto, Marrakech, Lyon, Sydney, Montreal, Osaka and Copenhagen . To view the full report please click here.
