The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) organised an art competition across its municipal schools in the KDMC region on Saturday, aiming to enhance students’ artistic skills and encourage creativity. KDMC art competition
Students from Classes 1 to 10 participated enthusiastically in the competition. According to civic officials, a total of 14,025 students registered for the event, marking significant participation across the municipal school network.
The competition was designed to provide a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents, foster creativity, and express their imagination through art.
Students from schools of various mediums and managements across the KDMC area participated in large numbers.
An official from the KDMC Education Department stated that participation from municipal school students was notably higher compared to other regions in Thane district.

The competition was conducted in four categories: Group 1 (Classes 1–2), Group 2 (Classes 3–4), Group 3 (Classes 5–7), and Group 4 (Classes 8–10).
The event was organised under the guidance of Education Officer Vijay Sarkate, while Administrative Officer Bharat Bornare played a key role in ensuring maximum participation from schools across the municipal area.
Officials from the Education Department expressed confidence that such initiatives, which promote students’ talents, help boost creativity and contribute significantly to their overall development.
