• The Immigrant Visa Unit at the Consulate has informed all applicants, whose appointments were canceled during the pandemic, on how to reschedule their appointments.
• The Consulate is now accepting 221(g) submissions, allowing applicants to submit additional documents required for their visa applications, ensuring a smoother approval process.
• For immigrant visa seekers, the process includes being sponsored by a US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or a prospective US employer with an approved petition from USCIS.
• After USCIS approves the petition and pre-processing with the National Visa Center (NVC) is complete, applicants can follow the provided instructions from the NVC and the Consulate’s website for further guidance.
• The Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) will provide instructions for those selected in the Diversity Visa Lottery to continue their visa processing.
