Held on December 22, 2024, the scholarship exam aims to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections (EWS) across the state.
Out of the 1,125 students from municipal schools who appeared for the exam, these 162 achievers have brought immense pride to the NMMC education system, reaffirming the effectiveness of the corporation’s educational vision and dedication.
Among the top performers, Swarali Vitthal Jagdhane from NMMC School No. 42, Ghansoli Village, secured third rank in Thane district and emerged as the top scorer from Navi Mumbai. Successful candidates will receive ₹16,000 annually for four years (from Class 9 to Class 12).
Students from both government and aided schools participated in the exam. At NMMC schools, teachers conducted extra coaching sessions and organized regular practice tests at school and center levels. These efforts played a pivotal role in enhancing the students’ confidence and performance.
NMMC Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde congratulated the students for their exemplary performance. Additional Commissioner Mr. Sunil Pawar, Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Sangharatna Khillare, and Education Officer Mrs. Aruna Yadav also extended their heartfelt congratulations.
