Mumbai: This update is important for commuters traveling by local trains on the weekend. Central Railway has announced a mega block on Sunday, during which some local trains will be canceled while others may run late, causing inconvenience to passengers mid-journey.
The mega block will be carried out on the Matunga–Mulund Up and Down slow lines from 11:05 am to 3:55 pm.
From 10:14 am to 3:32 pm, services departing from CSMT on the down slow line will be diverted to the down fast line between Matunga and Mulund stations. These trains will halt at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, and Mulund stations before being diverted back to the down slow line at Mulund.
Similarly, services departing from Thane between 11:07 am and 3:51 pm on the up slow line will be diverted to the up fast line at Mulund station.
