KPMG Reports Hyderabad, Pune, and Navi Mumbai as new talent hub of India

Date:

KPMG’s Talent Feasibility Report has identified Hyderabad, Pune, and Navi Mumbai as the new talent hub of India. These cities have not only emerged as vibrant talent pools but also rank among the top three in terms of overall living standards.

While traditional metropolises like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru continue to draw a diverse range of talent, the employment landscape in India is undergoing a transformation. Secondary and satellite cities are gaining traction due to the availability of talent, government support, infrastructure growth, and cost-effectiveness. This shift is influencing the talent acquisition strategies and location preferences of organizations.

KPMG notes that the nature of work is a significant factor in organizational decision-making. Tactical and transformational roles are primarily located near the headquarters in tier-1 and tier-2 cities, which house transactional roles. Despite high attrition rates in tier-1 cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, satellite cities like Navi Mumbai and Noida, along with tier-2 cities, exhibit lower attrition rates.

In conclusion, Hyderabad, Pune, and Navi Mumbai are not only emerging as dynamic talent hubs in India but also offer a high quality of life. The KPMG report underscores their growth and potential as preferred destinations for recruiters seeking diverse and skilled talent.
