Mumbai: The Konkan Housing and Area Development Board, a wing of MHADA, has launched a new online platform — https://bookmyhome.mhada.gov.in — for the sale of 13,395 unsold flats across various housing schemes. The platform was officially inaugurated by Sanjeev Jaiswal, Chief Executive Officer, MHADA.
Revati Gaikar, Chief Officer of the Konkan Board, highlighted that the new ‘Book My Home’ portal marks a significant upgrade over the earlier IHLMS 2.0 system. Previously, applicants under the First Come, First Served (FCFS) process had no option to choose a specific flat. Now, with real-time availability, they can view and select their preferred flat, including exact floor and unit number, as per their eligibility and preference. The portal provides detailed information at both the scheme and individual flat level, empowering buyers to make informed decisions.
The flats on offer are part of MHADA’s projects in Virar (Bolinj), Khoni, Shirdhon, Gotheghar, and Bhandarli. The process is entirely automated, eliminating manual intervention. Applicants simply upload scanned copies of their Aadhaar card, PAN card, and a self-declaration at registration. The system then performs digital verification and generates an applicant profile.
Once verified, eligible buyers can explore the available flats by location, floor, and unit number, and immediately reserve the flat of their choice on an FCFS basis.
Importantly, for flats outside the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme, MHADA has relaxed eligibility conditions — no income criteria apply. These units are available to applicants from the General, Scheduled Caste, and Scheduled Tribe categories.
