These Rail Neer plants ensure a steady supply of packaged drinking water across Western Railway, Central Railway, and West Central Railway.
Mumbai: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC), a “Navratna” PSU under the Ministry of Railways, is committed to providing safe and hygienic packaged drinking water to millions of passengers every day.
Under its West Zone, headquartered in Mumbai, IRCTC operates seven state-of-the-art Rail Neer plants strategically located across the region to meet the growing demand of passengers.
The Rail Neer Plants are located at:
- Ambernath (Mumbai, Maharashtra)
- Butibori (Nagpur, Maharashtra)
- Maneri (Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh)
- Mandideep (Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh)
- Kuber Extension Rampura (Kota, Rajasthan)
- Sanand (Gujarat)
- Industrial Area (Bhusawal, Maharashtra)
The Ambernath plant (Mumbai) currently produces around 1.74 lakh bottles per day, with plans to double its capacity post-repair. Each of the other six plants produces approximately 72,000 bottles per day.
Collectively, these Rail Neer plants ensure a steady supply of packaged drinking water across Western Railway, Central Railway, and West Central Railway, thereby strengthening passenger amenities with a focus on quality, safety, and reliability.

Speaking on this, Gaurav Jha, Group General Manager, IRCTC West Zone, Mumbai, said:
