A girlfriend in China took a shocking approach to test her boyfriend’s love and commitment before marriage. She wanted him to understand the pain of childbirth, so she subjected him to an intense labour pain simulation that almost cost him his life.

According to reports, the woman from Henan province took her boyfriend to a labour pain simulation centre. Initially, the boyfriend refused to participate in the challenge, but he eventually gave in. At the centre, electric currents were used to stimulate his muscles and mimic the pain of uterine contractions during childbirth.

The woman described the experience, saying, “For the first 90 minutes, the pain gradually increased and became unbearable. At level 8, my boyfriend started screaming and struggling. By level 10, he was crying out in pain, gasping for breath, sweating profusely, and eventually began vomiting.”

However, a week later, the man’s condition deteriorated. He was hospitalized, where doctors discovered irreversible damage to a section of his small intestine. The woman revealed that the engagement had been cancelled, and her boyfriend’s family was contemplating legal action.

The incident sparked widespread debate on Chinese social media, with many condemning the woman’s actions and emphasising the significant differences between simulated pain and actual childbirth.
