Navi Mumbai: To ensure hassle-free property tax payments for residents, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has announced that property tax payment counters will remain open even on holidays.
As per the announcement, the payment counters will be operational on Saturday, March 22, and Sunday, March 23, 2025. Additionally, until March 30, 2025, property tax payments can be made daily at the NMMC headquarters and divisional offices from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On March 31, 2025, the counters will remain open until midnight to accommodate last-minute taxpayers.
To further encourage timely payments, NMMC has introduced a 50% waiver on penalty charges for overdue property taxes under an amnesty scheme valid from March 10 to March 31, 2025. This initiative has led to a surge in tax payments at various municipal offices and bank counters. To manage the increased footfall, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank counters at these locations will operate for extended hours and will also remain open on public holidays.
Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde has urged residents to take advantage of this opportunity and clear their property tax dues before the deadline.
